The handle slips easily and neatly down to size of side cart,and so is does not complicate storage ,but extends way up height you want.

Do not concern yourself with the dark shapes in bottom of carting my picture 5, showing inside cart. The lid is completely removable - not attached,but broken on two corners see my pictures they are just shadows of grass. See the instructions that come with it - my picture 11.
